240kg deadlift achieved today.

That brings me up to 600kg for the big 3.

Chuffed to bits.

No vid but I'll get one next time I try it.

Thanks Ader - didn't realise you were chasing the same number! How close are you to it?

Ollie, you're a monster deadlifter anyway, so strong on them always been super impressed with your strength, quite jealous considering your bodyweight vs mine!

My grip strength is not one thing that is letting me down at the moment, I think when it does it'll be so heavy that I'm unlikely to be anywhere near being able to lift it!

Again like Ollie, straps only and didn't ever quite make 250kg stalling at 254kg so hopefully you'll hit that for me soon :)

I have now missed 240 about 8 times - Each time I fire it off the floor and then fail at lock out - I just seem to get in a horrible position - take of 10KG and form is fine - Very frustrating - There's some vids of my last 2 failures in my journal :mrgreen:

I reckon I'm not using my glutes properly and I activate them too late so my hips are too far back when I get close to lock out - Well that's my current theory anyway. Have some ideas which I'll work on after my comp'.
