KP will say you'll a non-responder. Which sound like it.

I personally only use, and recommend, creatine monohydrate (BSD's currently).

I haven't read any real evidence showing me that any other forms are better.

I'd save your creatine money for something else. Maybe Krill Oil or Na-RALA. Two top supps imo.

Totally agree with Health. From all the reading I have done there doesn't appear to be that much research supporting all the new forms of creatine. However there is a lot on the regular Creatine monohydrate. I have started using CEE lately as I have got a fair bit of it left over from a while ago and I have started to notice a bigger improvement than I did on my last usage due to upping the dosage.

Never been the biggest Creatine fan although I'm using Mono at the moment. The 2 supplements Scott has already mentioned are worth while but those aside if it's more of a workout supplement you're after then Beta Alanine would top topping my list over Creatine and simply dose pre/during and during/post workout depending on what you follow.

I agree that mono is the best form. Have tried BSD's Tri Creatine Malate and that works... but you do have to double up from BSDs suggested dose. CEE didn't do as much as mono for me, although gives a nice little kick from the alcohol ester.

Cheers Gents

Think Alex comes up with a possible alternative and so ive bought some from BSD .

I take it this is instead of creatine as the description on BSD reads like its a creatine , then says its an amino and then says it works well with creatine ????

How does this work? Would stacking the above with beta-alanine have even greater responses?

Well creatine replaces the lost phosphate molecule on adp back to atp. Ribose is a building block of atp. Your body can only produce so much so supplementing gives makes better use of the atp recycling action of the creatine via increased atp synth. Very basically. They work in synergism boths better than either alone imo.
Beta alanines totally diff. But taking its also advantageous lol.

Sounds good I might get some d-ribose when I have a bit more money to spare.

Id D-Robose that sweet sticky stuff that goes brown if you don't seal it?

Was never sure I liked the taste of it! I threw mine away recently.

And I personally get much better results from CEE than from Mono, but it does seem that your reaction to creatine is very personal form all I've read.

That sounds like dodgey citruline malate of my protein, I busted them about that and made them give me a big refund for all the perform xs I bought from them that went "off".
Ribose is white and all most crystalline like texture.

if you are a non responder - many have had good results in high dose PWO when insulin is high and carbs are also higher.

Saying that - Beta Alanine over Creatine for me - all the time.

I think that as with most supplements the effects are subtle. A large dose of creatine pwo is how i like to use it and recon pre workout that beta alanine and taurine in a pretty big dose is better

Mono for me. Have use the Kre stuff years ago and thought the sam..subtle and its impossible to make a comment either way.

Was a big fan of D Ribose in the past but I tend not to have a need for it now. Useful if you're in the gym for over an hour or energy levels feel low but otherwise I think it's wasted if you're feeling fresh and are into short, sharp sessions. I guess it could be useful to replace workout carbs if you were dieting.

Bata Alanine I would dose 4g pre/2g post or 3g pre/3g during depending on what protocol I'm following.

They did studies on creatine plus BA to see if there was a synergistic effect but nothing conclusive... they do work very well together though, and the kind of exercise intensity that will get benefit from one will benefit from both. Ribose fits in beautifully too. Good to stack for any activity involving lactic acid pumps and 'to failure' effort.
