Using bands

Can someone give me a guide on how to use bands for bench?

Put them round the bar and around something on the floor hopefully the bench has feet you can put the bands under and off you go - Simple as that.

If attaching to teh floor is difficult, you could use a single band and put it under the bench and then loop each end round the end of the bar, but if it's not a long band, then tht'll be a hell of a lot of tension, even at the bottom.

I aim to have some tension in them at the bottom, so depending on length of bands you may need to double them to achieve this, or tie a knot in them, if double is too much tension.

Is that what you meant or is your question aimed at something else?

Depends if you use a regular bench or power rack, if you use powerrack you can find the height at which the bands are slack but in contact with the bar and then do a slip knott through the holes (where the pins go), thats for reverse band. If you want it regular you can use this for both bench and powerrack set up, get the heaviest dumbells you can and wrap it around those, place it in line with where ever you touch on the chest though otherwise u'll have the bar being pulled to far.
If you're not sure if you're getting quality sleep or not, this is your standard: You should always wake up under a teepee. If you don't have a boner so solid you have to do a handstand to take a morning piss, your Testosterone levels are probably low.

that looks to close to the body and would be annoying.
what about putting them outside the weights and under the bench, or would that be too far for most bands?

Morba - You see burningnuns pic - look at the frame running under the pad that joins the 2 pillars. I place a band under the bar(under the pad in burningnuns case) bringing up the 2 ends around it and sticking it on one end of the barbell (instead of both ends like burningnun). So its like nuns pic, except i have a band either side doubled up.

Like this except the bands are attached to the frame running parallel to the bar

that looks equivalent to db's. neither of the main benches are like that racked one, so will have to go for DB's.

cheapest and quickest delivery place for bands? liftinglarge is american so will take a while

Pullum sports are pretty good and slightly cheaper than genuine Woody's (I think)

How much did you pay inc. P&P and what bands did you get?

I payed £52 inc delivery for the starter package that included pairs of 41" Mini's, super mini's and small bands. I got them when the pound-dollar rate was better then it is now so its probably more expensive then what i payed.
With Pullum your looking at the same set but costing ~£76 before their riduculous delivery charge.
