The leaner me

Bit of an update on myself - a lot leaner than I was, I think it shows, lost around 10-12lbs now. You can see a lot more vascularity in the shoulders, separation too, and separation in the quads as well. The tricep shot didn't come out as well as I wanted as I wanted to show the striations in the shoulders but can't see them in the pic :( And some nice serratus starting to come out too. Rather happy at the moment. :) The pictures are shite I know, I need some better pics taken to do justice to myself, but whilst I'm leaner, I've also kept my strength pretty much on target. I'm just under 15st at the moment.

i must say stress can be helpful at body recomposition
when i was at my peak- i was doing my finals and doing my thesis- no matter how much food, gear, cola, hmb, bcaa- the weight was falling of me, i lost 10lbs in a week, but the conditioning it brought was welcomed

looking good there will- get a tan and get rid of the rug

I do too Alex. :) Feel better for it too. Still as strong as an ox though :)

Jules, yeah I'm never getting rid of the chest rug ;) As for a tan, I'll get one when I go on holiday - that's as pale as I go!

Jules - it's never stopped me punching above my weight with girls which as far as I'm concerned is what's important. Besides, if a girl doesn't like it, then too bad, move onto the next - they're plentiful. :)

I get my back done as that does make me feel self conscious. I'm not going to go to the extent of waxin my chest - a) it hurts b) what would it achieve? c) it'll grow back quickly and be uncomfortable d) I'm not competing and don't wander around topless at work. e) it keeps me warm! :D

I'm just a hairy guy, I've got used to it. I know it's not for everyone... but c'est la vie!

Well just had my measurements with callipers done by someone at the gym:

2009:
Bicep 6.2
Tricep 9.6
Subscapular 17.6
Suprailiac 16.8

2010:
Bicep 6.4
Tricep 9.5
Subscapular 15.4
Suprailiac 13.3

2011:
Bicep 5.5
Tricep 8.2
Subscapular 15.2
Suprailiac 12.4


So it seems I'm still holding fat on my back? Isn't that something to do with oestrogen imbalances?

I'm quite happy to see my waist fat measurement has come down by over 4mm since 2009. :)

However the Durnin/Womersley Caliper Method leaves me at 19% which I find a little hard to believe. My legs are uber lean - but no measurements were done from there. I think I probably need to get someone else to do it with a full 7-site measurement, as I'm not 100% happy with that reading.

My actualy body measurements are the same as 2009 though I've lost 1.5" off my waist, so although I've dropped skinfold measurements, my lean body mass must have increased to make up the fact my measurements are the same?

Anyway, fuck it, I look leaner, and my belt needs to be tightened by one hole, but I still fill my shirts around the shoulders and back/chest - so I must be doing something right.

Nope, it's carb intake (insulin). Poliquin always says that the subscap (shoulder blade area) measurement relates to how well you can handle carbs and the suprailliac (hip) measurement relates to current carb intake levels. But the person who took your skinfolds sites is not Poliquin trained so the accuracy and exact site taken will not be the same.

Estrogen site is the pecs. That should be under 5mm ideally.
