Any thoughts on the outcome guys?

My rugby club has got together so we now have a sky box, plasma tv and room at the pub which means I get to watch the matches!!! :D

Great news for you GB.

I turned down two offers for free tickets and all the goodies tomorrow as I'm bored with England and pissed off with the selection and boring play. Bothwick shouldn't even be in the team let alone captain. Johnson's an idiot.

I hope the French do well.

Agree with Borthwick. Which sadly reflects on the fact that Johnson is having a nightmare.

Not very English to hope the French do well though Si??

Ireland are the in form team and should do it. But they play England & France away.
France are managed by a looper who is making some crazy decisions... maybe it'll work.
Wales are out of form and Jenkins is out.
Scotland could do better than expected.
Italy... well, always offer a game but never really get near the top teams.
England; as always have the strength in depth, but cannot play as a team

Fuck knows

I go for England since I'm err an Enlglishman

Scott

I love Rugby and the French when on form play the most beautiful game.

Just watched England U20 beat Wales, great play and skills which sadly won't be seen on Saturday.

Altho I'm enjoying the scoreline so far, this is terrible rugby by both the English and Welsh.

I love watching it, even if I don't know all the rules.

I've watched worse games.

Had it's moments but the Ireland game wasn't pretty either but it is the opening week so teams are going to be a little cagey.

Pretty poor from both team, but a good result for England.

I was a bit surprised by how much "off the ball" Wales were instigating, especially on JW where I counted 4-5 incidents.

It was so nice not to see England utterly cock it up in the second half, not the prettiest game for sure and I spent the majority of the match screaming at England to take David Wilson off the pitch.

He did something to his shoulder and couldn't bind properly, had no strength and kept nose diving the scrum as he couldn't stay up. It was painful to watch him tackle and the arm not work.

Alun-wyn Jones was an idiot but I think the sinbinning did help England.

In technical terms, Wilson is what's known as a teapot.

Did anyone else think Wilkinson was crap?

I think Wilkinson was as good as the service he got which wasn't much as the ball stayed with the Forwards but his kicking was off a few times. His tackle rate wasn't too high either but Wales appeared to be avoiding his channel. I have a feeling the injury to Flutey may have thrown things off as there was little open Back play.

As a rugby league supporter I did try and watch the England game to try and educate myself

What I saw was some of the worst passing ( and catching!!) of a ball I have seen in a long time !!

I agree mate. I was saying to Mrs M that as an amateur my passing and catching was a damn sight better and these are top professionals. Also, the scrum half is wank.

There were certainly moments where it seemed like a game of "hot potato".

I'm not convinced about Danny Care as he is a little one dimensional and wears blinkers when he has the ball in hand, never looking for the off load and is passing off the floor isn't the best. Hartley is another who is guilty of not off loading and any smart defense would simply get 2 or 3 guys on him in contact and he would not doubt get pinged for holding on.

Agree, we need a scrum half who can get the ball out in a heart beat and not faff about like a fanny
