What are you looking to use it for ash?

Have used taurine several times and for three different things (one a bit dubious) - to help get to sleep 2g with some vit c and some phosphatidyl serine, 4g as part of an NO2 blend with AAKG, and (this is the dubious one) 6g with GABA, AAKG and tryptophan to get high - part of my amino acid nootropics experimental phase a few years back. This latter blend and dosage is good for alleviating headaches.

All doses and methods worked for me :D

Yes it's a cell volumiser - am not sure about the details exactly but that's why i throw it in with the AAKG for the NO2 blend. The highness is a kind of 'zoned in' concentration. Nothing crazy but noticable - although needs to be around 3-4g minimum before it's something you are definitely aware of.

Perhaps pre workout 4 grams with no2 supps i iwll be taking, and pre bed 2 grams with some vitamin C (how much vit c you reckon)

Main Functions:

In the nervous system, stabilizes cell membranes, which raises the seizure threshhold, and helps treat epileptic seizures.
Acts as inhibitory neurotransmitter and is as potent as Glycine and GABA.
Anti-convulsant effect is long-lasting and can be confirmed both clinically and by repeat EEG's (electroencephalograms).
Anti-oxidant. Slows down the aging process by neutralizing free radicals.
Highest concentration of Taurine is in the heart.
Reduces risk of gall stones by combining with bile acids to make them water soluble.
Involved in stabilization of heart rhythm. Loss of intracellular Taurine in the heart leads to arrhythmias.
Useful in treatment of Congestive Heart Failure (CHF).
Strenghtens neutrophils (white blood cells/part of immune system) in their ability to kill bacteria.
Useful in brain injury
Decreases cholesterol levels (along with Lysine, Carnitine, and Tryptophan).
Highly concentrated in the eye.

Anything less than 5 grams is pointless. Best taken before bed IMO.

Does stack very well with GABA... nice feeling on that :D

Ash, i would normally take 2g of vit c with the taurine and PS (300mg) to help sleep. Personally is the best sleep aid combo i've tried, along with high dose (10g) GABA.

PS is expensive - I got mine on sale, but this is the cheapest i can find on a quick google atm; http://www.bodykind.com/product.asp?Cat ... artnerID=6

Taurine - I'd go with BSD's http://www.bulksupplementsdirect.co.uk/ ... urine.html

Vit C - 1000mg tabs are pretty easy to get most places, and I think BSD might be doing them very soon too so I'd go with theirs also.

At 3x100mg a day works out at about £1 a day for the PS, but 200mg is probably ok as a dosage too.
