Steroid Usage increase?

Postby kp1512 on Sat Nov 01, 2008 5:57 pm

Anyone else noticing a really large rise in use of Steroids of late in their gym?

Quite shocking how many are on it in the gym I train at and how openly they talk about it - 18-23 year olds seem to be like straight on it.

One guy that Ive seen training regularly has just like ball0oned like no mans land and now struts about with ILS and makes a point of shouting and pushing the bar back and forth before each set so everyone looks at him. Odd.

I'd have to agree on this one and say oral AAS usage is definately far more common now.

UGL gear is much more freely available via the web now than ever before, while pharma availability has dropped.

Additionaly PH/PS/DS are more available now than they have been for a while.

The stigma with steroid use, I would suggest, is slowly being removed.

Or ignorance has increased.

Certainly plausible. Without picking on some people by name, there are a number of young lads on here (i.e. under 20) who've started on gear and other peptides in a relatively 'advanced' fashion, their training and diets are generally sound and are making good gains.

Is it advisable at their age? Not for me to say.
Would this have happened 10 years ago when documented steroid usage on the internet wasn't so prevalent?

The internet to an extent has removed the stigma with steroid usage, although with the reduction of the stigma you will get ignorant users.

Speaking with a few guys at work, I think some people take a lot of risks, knowing what protocals to follow but just ignoring PCT as an unrequired expense - more money for gear. They then wonder why they lose size and just go back on cycle. One guy I know is a regular reader on steroid.com, knows about AI, SERM and all the extras but just does not bother. He gets little sleep and has kids all day whilst working nights. Knows his situation is not ight but just continues wasting his money anyway - goes weeks without training - even while on cycle.

Alot of people just ask that dude in the gym what they do and then follow that... He's big, not foaming at the mouth, reckons he feels no sides. Recommends 50mg/day clomid for a week at the end. Although the internet has made people more aware, it's also birthed a load of rip off companies that sell crap so I reckon as many people have been put off by it as have taken it up. The major recruiter is still big joe down at the prison gym.

Probably 7-8 years with the quality development coming within the last 2.

Agree - everyone wants it now which is a shame.

I think the bad side of Steroids has actually encourage these younguns. Information on Peptides and all is now freely available and also easily to get so people get on it sooner.

Reminds me of a friend of mine in a previous gym - 100mg Dball a day for 8 weeks then offer for 4 then back on - never took pct or anything. Very strange people.
