Are you training on the day u've outlined for your diet, i assume not due to the creatine in the morning. So why the need for so many carbs? You've tried you own way for the last year or so you donkey, research anything to do with cutting and it will say drop the carbs to some degree, whether pro bodybuilder, recreational trainer, whatever. Im not saying cut carbs completely, especially if its decent for your mental state and keeps you training but I don't understand your resistance to something that is frankly, fact.

Also are you eating muller light to satisfy that inner fanny you've grown? Its a waste of time. I also wouldn't be eating tuna so frequently. I have it probably 2 times a week and really only when im in a rush.

Also its compromise you mong

I can't even remember where I spelt that wrong shithead. Maths is my strong point!

I'm just taking the creatine in the morning because it'll make no difference when I take it :| Sure it's stored in the muscles. Taking it in the morning should be as good as any. Plus, check out that schedule, I should be training 6/7 days.

Let's be honest Nicky, "my way" over the past year has been inconsistent and involved weekly pissups, fast food and chocolate...and I've still gained muscle and lost some BF. So surely If I dedicate myself over the next month with this then I should get to where I wanna be. I'm at least going to try it for 4 weeks and then from there I'll re-evaluate. I'm not as into fish as you are...

I've a sweet tooth...I like Muller Light! There's not even THAT many carbs there...Pasta, a bit of milk, veg and whatever carbs come from egg yolk!

Nice to see you here.

Give the GBC a go and see what you think. Then change it. Back to 5x5 for 4 weeks would be good for example.

Your food choices are shite though mate lol
You're young with a fast metabolism, so currently (from the outside anyway) you probably look healthy/lean. In time it'll feck you up. So it's good to start now ;)

Also, I'm not saying "no carbs", but pasta, bread (all wheat) is shit. Some rice, quinoa, sweet potatoes, rice/buckwheat/millet flakes etc are decent enough as examples.

Scott (Health4Ni) is the man to listen to Sparky... cut those carbs (not saying get rid of them completely!) and make the ones you do choose cleaner. Besides, eating more meat, getting in some good fats through quality oils, nuts, fish, avocado etc is yummy!

:)

Cheers, I'll take that on board and try to work it in to the diet instead of pasta then.

Pingu, I will by all means, cut the carbs, but i'm not cutting them out of my diet. I have to stress that although I am very grateful to everyone I have to do this my way. There's no point me being someone else for 8 weeks and going back to "normal." That won't change anything. I'm probably going to live the rest of my life with carbs so I may as well get lean with them, and rest assured I WILL. I'm determined that with enough hard training and eating a bit of everything in moderation I'll get to where I want to be.

Again, I'm not being rude and dismissive...and If I am I don't want to, but I want you guys to understand where I'm coming from. I've set up this journel to try and keep me on track with the support of a great community, and I'm sure that IF I do it my way, with everyone's help I can achieve my goals. :) and by IF I mean IF I stick to it.

Don't fret Sparky. I'm not trying to push you into something that isn't you! If you want to lose some of the BF yes you will need to cut the carbs but at no point did I say cut them out - besides that approach is only for a strict approach to losing body fat NOT a way of life. So I think you may have misunderstood me slightly.

Lower them somewhat, and make some small changes in the ones you do have i.e. have some brown rice instead of pasta, sweet potato instead of normal potato, that sort of thing and it will do you no end of good. Replace those calories with some other things like the healthy fats and you will notice a huge change.

All we are doing is pointing out some of the ideal changes to make to help you reach your goals. Whether you decide to do that is up to you. You are the one doing this not us!

Of course everyone will support you!! But we will also kick you up the bum if you need it too!! ;)

Why? I can understand if you're wheat intolerant they're bad choices, but pasta and wholegrain bread are low GI, I thought, and so would not be bad choices?

They're not real foods Ader. They do nothing positive for us. Too much sugar & salt & other crap in bread too. They are also acidic. Plain unhealthy. Sure there's much worse, but it's not a good food. It's a cheap and easily accessible food; but it's rubbish.

Exactly. They're just devoid of nutrients.

Sparky - don't take this the wrong way mate, but we've all started out with limited knowledge and are only offering good advice based on what we've learnt and experienced. There's a lot of knowledge and experience on here that you can benefit from, so ignore it at your peril!

Many people have at least partial intollerance to wheat, its about making the right carb choices in a balanced diet - or so Craig says anyway
