Rooney and his swearing

Postby kp1512 on Sun Apr 10, 2011 3:46 pm

Has rooney gone into the bubble where he is believing his own hype?

I can not beleive Alex Ferguson defending him!

Yes footballers and various sports people swear on pitch! But how many go in to a camera and swear?!?!??!

Yet they seem to be comparing the two?

I liked seeing a footballer showing some determination for a change rather than just falling over after some imaginary heavy tackle . Having said that he went too far

I would like them to do community service - he has to visit and help out at 10 sports academies / high schools !!
That would do some good and repair his image a bit

have seen this guy and old trafford and yes he is a turd and yes his missus is out of his league

I just dont get how he gets away with it. Fergies rant was that will all footballers now get booked and banned for swearing?!?! NO!!! But they will if they look down the camera and swear!! How he can not see the issue is beyond me!

Just as well rooney is crap for England when he does play.

^^ thats harsh!

good thing about his missus is that she is real and not a fake in terms of trying to be someone she is not. ok I am sure they have a huge list of hangers on - but she deserves a little credit?

it's called fame together with good marketing. She'll likely not be the designer. She'll prob say a few things she likes and a team will do it.

It's the modern world we live in. Couldn't give a fuck about them at all. More important things to worry about.

i think Fergie is just trying to keep Rooney's natural anger focused on the pitch... to slam him publicly could affect his play (he does seems a moody sod), and with a possible treble am sure Fergie is playing the "it's them against us" line at Rooney to keep him focused.

Either that or Fergie is just the c0ck we all think he is

zero sympathy for man ure or media whores

question.........if she has such prowess and is SO talented (to the point of not requiring any education), do you think she stayed with him for any other reason than a golden ticket through life? i think it was agent intervention and some home truths tbh

You'd never get away with talk like that in Rugby to officials.
'Behave like you are the best...and you'll have the best chance of being the best you can be.'

'Be effective: do what works...and keep doing it.'

'Bask in the turbulence of my magnificence.'

She's not a traditional hottie, but sometimes she does catch my eye... not sure if she has any talent though or what she's like when she speaks.

Rooney is the media golden boy - us brits don't have many significantly talented football players so the media typically overhype anyone who doesn't immediately panic and fall over merely at the sight of goal. Rooney isn't bad as player, but his attitude prevents him from ever being world class IMO.

Agree that in Rgby he'd not get away with that kind of thing, but I think football is very bizzare in terms of what the FA stamp down hard on and what they make only a largely empty disciplinary gesture about.
