Rab, I'm only cruising mate.

If I ever have to step up my game then I'm there.

I always make sure I just do enough to stay above the competition ;)

This sounds like the words of a man in denial.

The gap is closing Alex..the gap is closing!!! :) Once i have seen off KP I will have you in my sights as my next bitch!

Let me present some facts to the table...

While you've been training you wee little jocks socks off I've been away on holiday, added in extra cardio, leaned out, been on holiday and been a little subdued during hayfever season with anti-histamines.

And still I gain...

However the hayfever season is at an end, the cardio has been tollerated, you're about to go away and I'm about to blast through to September.

Be afraid Rab, be very afraid :D

That sounds like fighting talk lol.

What can u currently do on the dips Alex??

I dread to see this... dipping with all these plates between the legs (Must be a Health & Safety Breach lol)

Are youz competeing to a certain amount of reps for the weight... or working to a single rep of 100K?

Definitely need vids of all the attempts 8-)

Last session was 6x55kg but I'm currently using 4 second negatives for my arm sessions.

Normal tempo I hit 5x60kg I think which was before holiday mid June and slower negatives lost me intially 25kg so I'm theory I should be in the 70kg-80kg range on a standard tempo.

I don't do them fresh but I don't think anyone else either.

If I went back to standard tempo then maybe sooner but having a dodgy collar bone I find building up slower with the higher negatives has helped alot so I'll be sticking with that approach for now. I may try out a set at some point to see though.

LOL "Training my little jock socks off"

Some good points there, but the overall picture suggests that the gap is closing even with all things in consideration. The 2 weeks in Ibiza will defo set me back, but i have youth on my side. :)

It probably wont be this year T, but next year but your card is marked!

Ah classic!

If you lot are doing a wee competition on the dips shouldn't bodyweight really be taken into account?

I'd be interested to know what you guys can do with a dumbbell gripped between your feet... I do dips (and chins) that way sometimes and it's evil, much harder than using a belt. It also has the added 'bonus' that it hurts to sneeze for at least 3 days afterwards, I've never found anything that punishes your abs quite that hard!
