Proteins?

Postby kp1512 on Fri Sep 16, 2011 5:57 pm

What branded proteins have you guys tried of late thats worth it?

I got hold of Optimum Nutrition Choc Mint and gota say its probably THE best protein I have ever had!! I could drink this shit day in day out as trying to get 250g per day

Any other decent ones worth trying?

MP - Dont like any of them to watery and light taste
Syntha 6 - profile is crap
BSD - bored of them day in day out hence the change

Dymantize anyone?
USN?

Choc Mint is generally my all time favourite flavour.

PhD is really good for taste and they do a great Choc Orange flavour.

Boditronics used to be very good but I hear the taste isn't what it was.

I'm using this stuff at the moment:

http://www.pulsin.co.uk/protein-powders ... olate.html

Much better quality than most whey I've come across. Unflavoured, so might not be answering your question, but it does mean I'm up for a meal straight after working out (whereas eating savoury food just after downing lots of sweet-flavoured protein can seem a bit weird).

I like most Boditronics flavours, and it's reasonably priced for a branded protein.

Agreed- 5kg for £90 is a better deal, but it's still pricier than 'normal' stuff. If you're willing to pay a premium for grass-fed / hormone-free beef, then I think it makes sense to do the same with whey.

For that outlay going for a veggie based protein would make more sense. Hemp for example and then flavour it yourself.

CNP are the best quality you can tell the quality by the digestion. But they cost as much trade as any other brand retail at.

On again top quality stuff, not surprised your getting on well with it, the feed backs all good. Amazed they also make such a crappy mass gainer.

Next level down: USN, gaspari, phd all taste good but there not on the above two level

Mid range: boditronic, inner armour, extreme etc

U rate CNP that high? I would have put them down way below ON?

I like the look of ON Nitro Core? looks pretty shit hot! If it werent so bloody expensive.

Right now the treat PWO is the ON Gold Whey - very cold, with some ice cubes and shake it - you cant beat it!

Ye the quality of cnp is spot on, the taste is ok not amazing but there is not bloat off their products, just very well made.

Only brand ive tried in recent times is the extreme pro6 range and its pretty rank.

them mugs Muscle fury have a very good flavour in the banoffee but it needs toning down and the overall quality of the product and the company supplying them is questionable at best!!! purely on flavouyr though the banoffee toned down would be a winner for me

The best vydex flavor is toffee, banoffee is not bad either though. The quality is exactly what you order, just depends what you order ;)
