Hehehe, not sure about that! He is very, very good at what he does i.e. bodybuilding, and is great at showing me how to do the exercises. He probably doesn't get asked to do sport specific training very often, this is definitely a body building town.

My first 4 week programme is a three day split over four days a week. I'm taking the synergistic option on this one.

As an example, the first one (tonight!!!!!!!!!) is:

Good Mornings - 4 sets, 8 reps each
Obliques (using Torso Twist machine) - 80 reps total
Barbell Bench Press - 5 sets, 8, 6, 4, 2, 1 reps
Incline Barbell Bench Press - 5 sets, 8, 6, 4, 2, 1 reps
Dips - 5 sets, 8, 6, 4, 2, 1 reps
Tricep Push Downs - 5 sets, 8, 6, 4, 2, 1 reps

The weight for the decreasing reps is based on my 1RM.

Woo hoo!!!! :D

You mean I don't already??!! *blows raspberry*  ;) I think that's a good aim to have. Even at 20% I can see some definition and with losing another 3-4% I will still be healthy and muscle gains will really show! I'm getting the "King of Lean" (Scott) to help me come up with a plan as this 3-4% will be hard to lose but I know he knows what he is doing!

Thanks for the encouragement...I just get frustrated sometimes but I always find a way. Will keep pushing hard and putting all I have into it! And I think with my proper programmes I will love it even more now!

I guess you're talking about Stan from Flex Appeal Pingu?

Looks like you're training is going well. The gym has been so recently it has been a bit distracting to be honest.

I trained at home for a good while and I found I could get in the zone much more with my mates in my garage.

I certainly am Wardie. Stan is great, he never minds you asking and certainly knows what he is talking about for body building, and is spot on showing you how to do things. Has made me feel really welcome and I've nowt but good things to say about him. Just his area of specialty is different to what I need now, but he has given the me the basic knowledge and I know if I get stuck he will help me. I love Flex Appeal. You would too!

Good on you for being able to train in the garage mate, I would be rubbish at that! No motivation if stuff is at home!

It has it pros and cons, but not having to wait for any equipment and being able to do whatever you want is good.

I might think about going to flex appeal when my JJB membership ends, we'll see :P
