You're both right really in effect.

I'll replace it with a more sculptured Golden Era look :)

If you can point me in the direct on any good sized PL images over 1000px wide then I'll add one in as well.

Otherwise I'll hunt about.

Thanks again everyone but it's also having a decent crowd populating thats the best motivation for making it look as it does so thanks you guys as well :)

Also a thank you to Simon, KP and Orinoco for their help in transfering info across and generally making the transition a smooth one.

I agree, it doesn't appeal to me.

What about having some pics of weight lifters & PLers?

Maybe Dimas:

Dimas is awesome awesome awesome, so yes, that'd be good.

I see at the time of posting this message Alex has gone for the slightly kinky approach, with what appears to be some abstract part of a women's body... oh wait, it's changed again, now it appears to be a stir fry picture of some chicken and peppers... Mmm.

Well, anything is better than a bloated and artificial BB as previously mentioned.

Great job otherwise on the graphic design Alex :D

Also, maybe I havene't noticed, is there any indicator that tells you, that you have placed a message into any given thread. ie. lets say i wrote something in some thread, but i forget which thread, when i search new posts, i should just be able to see some green coloured label that says I've posted here.

When you click on View New Posts this will show you all posts you havent seen since your last visit....also, you can set your threads to autoemail you when you get replies once you post in them...

does that help?

^^ sure, it's part of the phpbb package right. So may or may not be able to allow user control, but I'd think you'd be able to turn on or off globally. Depends what admin think & I guess the members

Yep as its global, its either on or off....and also would need an edit as its not an option within ACP (Admin Control Panel)...
