yeah, drink 50g whey with a meal. You going to stick with the 2 day carbup? oh and you need to go 2 weeks without any carbups when you first start the diet.

Very open there...some diabetic forums have kinmd of evidence to suggest there is a release from the pancreas....I am of the opinion that its nothing that would kick you out of ketosis (well I know it doesnt) or even affect levels that much...whilst the brain, on smell and taste, DOES prepare the body for inbound food...I just dont think its enough to cause an issue...
look, of course coke zero won't give as much an insulin spike as plain old coke with all the sugar, but it still does release some. The body doesn't know what a sweetener is, so even though there's no sugar the body will react and release insulin. Plus it's a completely useless drink; has absolutely no value. Water, green tea, green drink, red drink, water + lime, water + lemon.

Come on man, "Dedication's what you need if you want to be a record breaker, yeah" :P ;)

I don't disagree, but i don't think drinking a can or two of coke zero for the first 2 weeks to help curb his 'carb tooth' will make or break his progress.

It's something to try and cut out, but not absolutely essential. I'd view the health issues associated with aspartame as being of more consequence than the insulin response anyway :)
