Bar placement in Squatting

I know this has come up a few times and the effect it has on body position.

Basically:
- Higher bar => More upright stance and
- Low bar => more forward lean.

Here's a diagram illustarating this rather nicely - the point is the bar needs to be over the centre of your feet and so affects body lean:

I believe the diagram may have come from a Mark Rippetoe book! But then what does he know ;)
