It wasn't 3x20k plates...it was those big massive ghey rubber 10kg plates that look like 20k and some folk like to fill a bar out with to make it look like they are lifting HUGE

Especially for you since you have a fecked shoulder (rotator cuff right). Lots of stress is put on the shoulder if you go below parallel.
