Creapure?

Postby Benny on Fri Jan 29, 2010 3:38 pm

Had a quick search but couldn't see much.

About to order some whey and currently qualify for free delivery. Was thinking about trying creatine on my next bulk to see what all the fuss/arguments are about.

I've read that CEE is basically just more easily absorbed but still monohydrate underneath and doesn't need loading.

I noticed Creapure and just wondered if it's actually worth the extra money or just for the enthusiasts/elite.

Has anybody had any experience with either or both from MP?

Cheers

Benny

I haven't really gotten anything from either, but I'd go with regular creatine if I was you. Creapure is just a purer version of an already very pure product. It's not like it costs a whole lot, so I guess it's mostly down to how much you wanna spend. I don't think the extra 0.9% purity will mean anything to anyone to be honest.

I need to see more evidenc e for cee really, not convinced that its any better.
The most researched is monohydrate, and if taking with very small amount of sugar, the results are well documented and it seems to only really be when some people don't take it with small amount of sugar there are "absorption" problems. Go with the most tried, tested and proved IMO.

I've also heard in some scientific conference that BSD's creatine is the most effective ;)

Thanks for the replies. At £13 a kilo you can't really go wrong!

I'll try BSD's at somepoint too and see if I notice any difference.

Recommended to take with sugar? as in bog standard caster sugar? is this a good idea before/after workouts with regards to spiking?

You wont notice any difference as the % difference is 99.8 to 99.9 and in the grand scheme of things this is not even worth acknowledging in terms of effects on the body. Your body wont even take that [as in absorb it] so it wont matter.

I probaly would be if I was ordering from BSD but I wasn't impressed with a sample of their flavoured WPC so decided to go with MP 10lb blend as it's better value being a blend of isolate and concentrate and also cheaper, not particulary impressive taste wise either though!

I normally back BSD though for the fantastic customer support I always recieve!

I think there's a noticable difference between a really shitty cheap creatine and creapure or another micronised creatine (the cheap stuff being clumpy, harder to dissolve, reduced surface area & more chance of GI upset), but with better quality stuff no significant difference.

in UK and US youd be hard pressed finding the lower quality crap mate as the price of it in bulk is pretty low anyway...but yes places outside of this Id agree.

I'll tell you where you can find it - Holland & Barrett. Bought some of their cheap stuff a few years back as an emergency and it was gritty and horrible, and is the only creatine I've had stomach issues with.

I used the H&B stuff in place of grit during the heavy snow - it worked wonders!.

The H&B stuff can only be administered anally. Works best after a good felch.

Mono instead of CEE for me every time.

Mixing whey concentrate and isolate 50:50 works best for me for taste and consistency. I generally use vanilla concentrate as my base flavour and then add in the isolate to make a more creamed version of the flavour I'm adding.

My first creatine experience of creatine was Holland & Barrets creatine fruit punch

Possibky the worst thing i have ever forced myself to drink outwith the obvious brutals like plain bcaa etc

Id go with creapure as theres hardly anything in it cost wise and the fact its finer mans it dissolves better into the ater and you get it down better and dont have most stuck to the side of the glass
