Why so? You wouldn't choose to eat meat unless it was organic due to the quality of the source so why would any other dairy based produce be any different? Again you've got to wonder about whats in the final product in regards to how the source is being kept and looked after.

Waitrose and Tesco definately do although you may only find them online and not stocked in store. Sainsbury do one in their "taste the difference" range which isn't badged as organic but is from Langage Farm, Devon (which I know of quite well) and their produce is excellent. It does have the vegetarian logo which would also be a good sign for a cheese product.

Yes Alex, I know that dairy is best organic, I was just wondering if you had any more specific reasons why cottage cheese in particular should be organic.

I don't think you can get any more specific than the quality of the product?

Sorry to butt in - I think Scott means why is it more important to eat organic cottage cheese than, for example, organic milk?

It's not any more important than other organic dairy produce but I fail to see where I alluded to the fact that it may be. I only mentioned it as I'm sure it's one of the dairy food choices that may be over looked as an organic option.
