Does anybody know of a UK store that sells something prowler-like?

That might be a good idea.

Some guys at my gym might be pooling up to get one for the summer.

How you would you do that? Would you give the image to a welder and he would crack on or would you need the exact specs?

Yes get the specs and an image which you can get anyway

My old gym [hardcore and spit and sawdust] made alot himself from a welder. He had an awesome dipping machine that he made - best ive ever used, awesome chin bar with side angles, dumbells as well!

True. I got my father-in-law to make me one. It's the mutts nuts. It's foldable too! So I can fit it in the car. He's amazing at this type of stuff.

Nope. He made it via a pic of the EFS Econo version, but made changes for the better.

tbh it's so good that I'm considering contacting a few companies to see what they think. Although, he said that if he does another he'll do it differently and make it even better! So at the mo I don't wanna give out any blueprint etc. Soz.

But do what I did; copy what's there. If someone is really good with metalwork and understands forces etc then they'll figure out no probs.

Not sure if you're taking the piss or not, but anyways.

Copy the Econo version. But make the T-joint a Fish-Plate joint rather than what EFS do. That'll be stronger.

It's about 1metre wide. The poles are same size as scaffolding poles; we managed to get poles some bike fella was using that are stainless steel so won't rust and it looks better too.

agree mate a good welder is worth his weight in gold for the gym goer. my old gym and the welder he used - they did these dumbells there were all in ones but fecking amazing but he had to stop them due to potential H&S and Liability as they had some edges which werent sharp as such but enough to dig if if the fell a few inches on you.
Cuz if you think about it majority of the kit is done by engineering and welders....at such a small price
