End of year review...

Postby xRichx on Wed Dec 30, 2009 3:38 pm

Just took this snippet (sorry about the slight wobble)...

Image

All in all, I've had a bit of an up and down year, but I'm fairly happy with my look at present... As you all (well, most) know, I'm not looking to be massive or the strongest, but more the athletic triathlete look (along the lines of below)

Image

I don't think I'm too far off that in size right now (correct me if I'm wrong), and with the Christmas period gone, I think a strict healthy diet and continuation of triathlon training including long 3+ hour steady sessions and speed intervals, I should be able to drop to around 9% (ish) relatively comfortably.

Feeling a lot more 'solid' these days, and altho strength isn't massive, the muscular endurance is steadily growing! The warehouse work I've been doing has really helped bring on my core I feel what with constant bending and lifting for hours on end.

Main goals for the new year is firstly to get a normal working hours job so I can get back into full training mode, the bike and my new love of hill training should bring on the quads pretty well and a few weight sessions to keep the size and strength in the right balance.

But above all else, keep enjoying training and racing!

Happy new year you sexy bunch!

Cheers boys! Always good to get some feedback! Especially the positive kind!

I think I'll aim for a little more mass than him in the useful triathlon areas, slight more on the shoulders and back, chest I think possibly just balance out the shoulders, and then it's legs all the way!

Right, 6month aim is another 4-5lbs of muscle and dropping to around 9-10%

I know the pic is fairly blurry, but how much bf% do you guys think I'm at right now? Those dodgy scales seem to hit fairly steady at around 11-11.5% for the past few weeks.? I'll try and get a better couple of shots soon as I know my abs show a bit more seperation than the pic, and there's definite seperation between chest and shoulders and arms etc...

Looking good there Rich and definitely not far off where you want to be. :) Is really hard to guestimate b/f levels, even in person let alone a pic... I'd say you were fairly similar to me atm which last time I checked on the callipers was around 11%. I don't think you'll struggle to lose a couple more percent at all... is only when you want to go sub 8%ish it really starts to become a nightmare.

You're just a smoking hot piece of candy.

I know for sure I'd be a faster runner if I was chasing a goodie like you.

Id put it at dropping a few pounds of fat and gaining about 8-10lb (maintaining the condition) to look like the Rich version of that model shot. I think folk are forgettign that you are 6 ft 2 or there abouts

You have done great mate this year mate with achieving your goals. Just be sure not to chase too many rabbits in persuit of your goals. Gaining muscle and doing triathlon is a near impossible goal
