100m sprints

Postby Max on Sat May 30, 2009 11:38 am

Just started sprinting again. My best time this morning was 12.5s. Which I was very happy with (I was sick after.. :( but :D )

What all of you are setting if you sprint?

Not that fast. Will find out the next time we have timed sprints at training.

At my age I'd just like to finish :) Probably can't get under 10 nowadays :(

12.5 is very fast for a first time Max. Was this time properly on a track or just on grass with some mates?

I will be doing mine either this evening / tomorrow.

I have NO IDEA what my 100 metre will be. But I can generate some good power from my legs

I'm sure, with your bulk, once you build up momentum, the key issue will be how to stop.... Sorry. In a bizarre mood today. No, actually, not at all sorry. :P

Like the character in the last X-Men movie.

You have to generate crazy power from your legs just to walk, so yea - I imagine those legs are pretty strong.

12.5 without blocks is seriously fasts although you'd fail any drug test going :)

Sprinting is fun. I think I did 13.0 on a crappy grass track ages ago. I'm much stronger now so I should be faster I suppose, but I haven't done it since.
