Pic of Rab's Meat

Postby Rab on Tue Jun 24, 2008 10:33 pm

Just got my contact at the slaughterhouse to come good with his promise of lumps of steak. I got 2kg of sirloin tonight for £10. Anyone think they could polish off this bad boy in a oner?

I hope that I can get a steady supply from him now. Got to grow some muscles somehow!

I eat about 250g a day. Normally i get 1.25kg per week from the butchers and make do with that..but buy popeseye as its a bit cheaper than sirloin.

Since i have a few steaks in the freezer, it should do me 2 weeks. I love shoulder steak. 1kg of that from the butchers is only £6 odd and makes a good old chilli and Irish beef Stew. thats what i done tonight....have a hell of a mess to clean up :?

I'd do that in 2 days normally as I do close to 1kg a day.

No way in one sitting, probably half of it without a problem if cooked correctly.

The 64oz challenges are around 1.5kg I think to give you an idea.

Steak is a really funny one because while with most things I can't eat a lot in one sitting, with steak I can just eat and eat... i never seem to get sated until i am totally physically up to my limit and my stoach feels like i've swallowed a breeze block. Don't know what my limit is in weight... might have to test that.

Hey, we should have a steak eating competition on here, lol!

Impressive deal dude. Most steak I've ever done in one sitting was 32oz and all the trimmings in a challenge, and I think I was pretty near my limit if I'm honest. Fair play Alex, that's a fucking insane amount of steak to eat in a day!

Rouge Of Zero, weetabix champion.

I bet no one has managed that.

Even better if it was all in one giant bowl.

That looks soooo good I'm drooling.

Rogue....It's more of a challenge to try and eat 2 dry weetabix in under 2 minutes than to eat a whole box in one go... ;)
