[quote="ParaManiac"]Thanks for the encouraging comments guys, much appreciated, however,i think i'm gonna have to up the cals a little if i want to make the extra gains i desire, they are coming,as my back testifies, but damn it's a slow process!

My problem is losing condition, which i can do very easily,i get to a point and my head goes! then the carbs get cut again!

Forget about your condition for a bit! :x
you wont get 'out of shape' not compared to your average bloke on the street!
just put up with it for a few months and im sure when you see how fast the gains have come along with your training it'l have been worth it. Just look at your pics now...you know you can get lean!
not its time to get BIG :D

I know the answer is biting the bullet and going with it,i've just got to convince myself! :?

No journal Pingu, being pretty hopeless, this is about as much as i can manage :)

Do you do any cardio when you bulk to keep you tight? You could just start off adding cals to breaky and PWO if you know you have to have lean gains. I must of seen your diet before but I forget, what ratio's do you use for bulking?

Now,there's the thing Craig! I've never bulked as such and never really stuck to ratio's,i may add another carb meal as well as pad out the PWO carbs, but generally i don't stray too far as when the fat starts appearing i back off!

I know exactly the problem, and constantly offer advice to others stating it,i just need to practice it myself,it's a mental barrier more than anything! I've been your classic "maintenance trainer" for far too long - Rob has helped give me a kick up the ar5e(thanks mate!) so things are gonna change ;)

Cardio is done as and when the mirror tells me

Recently started training heavier which in itself has led to a demand for more cals so we'll see where it takes me

good stuff!
with your commitment to training and diet, along with your knowledge you'd never stray to the extremes of bulking up for the sakes of it like some people, who end up making huge gains, most of which are fat!

Good improvement, perhaps when the sun shines you could lie in it as that would really help show off your muscle!

Para looks like you have added some quality size rather than just putting on mass for mass sake.. Top stuff. Also your as pale as me so that make me feel better. Do you have plans to do a show?

Thanks scott,i've introduced more carbs and been training heavier these past few months which, along with training with Rob(isco) is working well.

As for a show, not sure, imo,i still need another 4 or 5kg before dieting so a way off yet, legs also need plenty more w ork

Yeah, body is pretty good at the mo,injury really held me back in 2008  Just the first couple of sets are mildly uncomfortable on pressing then i'm fine.I stick to inclines and the occasional decline moves- Perform prehab exercises and above all else - Stay away from flat bench!! :D

Hello people, not posted on here in a while(although i do browse quite often ;) ) so i thought i'd post a couple of pics to show where i'm up to and compare with last year, when training was going very well.

Training is not quite as intense as it was for a variety of reasons, although still training 3 day week, cut cardio, diet still very good(eating more carbs now) and just looking for a bit of critique to see if i'm on the right track, gone backwards or stalled? cheers and thanks for looking :)
