Thought it would be good if we could add some links here as I'm sure a lot of us buy food/spices/herbs online.

To kick things off:

These guys sell organic cinnamon (as well as lots of other more unusual herbs and spices) very cheaply - 200g for £2.49: http://myworld.ebay.co.uk/dragon*spice/ :)

These guys do herb and spice 'blends', there's a combo for every occasion and it makes flavouring meat and/or veggies a piece of piss; I bought their 'For Fish' sample pack (five different blends for £7.50) at a farmer's market last weekend and have used it with every meal I've cooked since. And come to think of it, I haven't cooked fish once, so they must be doing something right!

you are joking right?

Dietary cholesterol DOES NOT turn into serum cholesterol. FACT. There are NO two ways about it. I thought this egg yolk myth was finally disappearing but seemingly not.

Eating eat whites cos of fear of cholesterol in egg yolks is one of the stupidest thing you can do (just don't scramble the eggs as that does oxidise the cholesterol).

I've cut out eggs (scrambled) during week for about 4 weeks now and I think look better for it.

Personally, never fried an egg - looks tricky keeping it the right shape and keeping it runny - having said that, the missus aint great at keeping it runny so maybe worth a go... 4 at a time though mate, that's gonna be pretty awkward in the pan surely...

Maybe I eats to many damn eggs at 4 everyday scrambled for breakfast, but that and a bowl of oats or a bagel slavered in cream cheese is soooo convenient!

lol sorry dude.

read this thread (how did you miss it?).

Omelette is a tricky one. tbh I still don't know. My thoughts are that if the eats are gently stirred so that the egg yolk is just brokjen and there's still egg white clearly visible (not the mornal yellow mixture you get), then it'll be better. And also when you make an omelette you don't keep moving it around like you do with scrambling.

tbh best is poached, soft boiled and fried is fine; in fact just had 2 eggs (from my own chickens) fried. Fired in coconut oil (as per KP's recommendation) is great. Organic unsalted butter is fine too.
