It always is - however I've looked back at my progress, and I've seen how well I've done and even though at the time and day-to-day thinking I feel like I'm getting nowhere, I'm leaps and bounds ahead to what I was. It's so hard to do, but you've got to take yourself away from your current "state" and appreciate the bigger picture. I'm a bit of hypocrite as I can't do that, I'm waaaay to self critical (unfortunately, in all aspects of my life) - however with the reassurance of friends and experts (people here) I'm starting to appreciate and believe the progress I'm doing.
You should be happy, it's obvious the hard work and time you've put in is paying off. I train hard, eat as well as I can afford and do the best I can, and even though at times it's depressing (either through injury or lack of progress) ultimately I am making progress - it's hard to remember and easy to forget and let it slide away from your thoughts.
I wish I could practice what I preached... but keep it up dude.
