"Never forget" - the confessions of a sinner.

Postby Rilla on Wed Feb 11, 2009 12:14 am

Forgive me my brothers, for I have sinned.

It's been way too long since the last time I shared crazy stories from my life.
I'm not manwhoring as much as I have been, I'm actually sort of exclusive with someone. She's an extremely hot young woman aged 25, and is aka Hottie McHottiepants (name is courtesy of Lys :P). Believe it or not, I'm actually in love.. :o
It's sort of complicated though (as it always is with me) - she's been in a relationship for ten years until very recently, so it's very much a case of taking things slowly and just enojying ourselves (and her hot backside).
I passed both classes i took in the fall and have two classes this spring - semantics/pragmatics and Phonetics/Phonology. Really looking forward to the semantics - it's a bit heavier than the introductory stuff I had in the fall.
After a couple of months with very little training, I'm back to hitting the gym with rillatastic energy. I'm also currently trying to get rid of some flab as well as improve my CV fitness. I've been neglecting cardio big time for the past six months because I haven't felt a need for it now that I'm on a break from playing hoops.
I design my own workouts based on the big compound lifts with very little isolation (haven't done curls for 6+ months I think). I train for a combination of strength, mental toughness, serenity and of course to get all the bitches. I very rarely go above five reps and I try to keep intensity high. At the moment I do around 25 mins of cardio after each workout.
I like having as much freedom as possible in my exercise selection, so I prefer doing full body workouts, though I'll sometimes mix it up with U/L if I have a bit more time.

Supplementation:
As most of you know, I like my stims. Just the other day I emptied all my stims into one bottle, so it's I never quite know what I get from that bottle (there are 3-5 different kinds of ECA stacks with extra goodies). I also have some geranamine and some eph HCL I throw in when I feel like it. My main stim product is called Jolt I think. It has caffeine, tyrosine, rhodiola, alcar and b-vits - I like it alot, but I'm on my last bottle. Will be adding Jet Fuel, Stim'd out and Hydroxycut to this list shortly.
Apart from the stims, I found a great little multi-vit in the states (lots of -ates which is good I think), best part about it is that one serving is three tablets, so you can take one three times a day. Much better than "once-a-day" ones.
I use BSD milk&whey as my only protein powder - it's a perfect allround protein powder. I also use oats and maltodextrin from BSD.
On top of that there's rhodiola rosea, some antioxidants, greens (with himalaya salt) and fish oils (when I get some).
Pretty basic stuff, I do have some ALA and a few other goodies I take when I feel like it - nothing worth mentioning.
Dietwise, I try to keep away from carbs as much as possible, but do take carbs around workouts. Not in any way religious about it, though I'm very much aware that carbs are the key to weight manipulation for me.
I weigh in at about 210lbs at 6"1-2.

My favorite motto right now is: Sluts are like pullups (ya'll should know the ending of this one by now).

Trained legs yesterday, but felt like doing complexes today. Took it relatively easy though.

Warmup on treadmill.

Complex:
Upright rows
Front squats
Military press
Goodmornings
BOR
High pulls

8xBar
8x40kg
5x50kg
3x60kg
Not as hard as I'd expected at all.

Seated shoulder triset:
Side raises
Front raises
Rear raises
5x12kg
6x12kg - starting to feel hard.
7x12kg - this set was really hard - definately had some swing on the last reps.

On to 30 minutes of cardio.
A decent little workout completed in just over an hour, warmup and cardio included. It was good fun too.

There's an article on T-nation about them - I just picked out three of the six and made a slight modification to one of them. I left out the ones including overhead squats and snatches. :)
Complexes are fuuuuuuun.

Yeh I had a look at that complex article, definitely useful and painful.

Can you please elaborate on your current motto, its late and I can't think of anything overtly sexual in relation to pullups lol.

You can never do too many. ;)

Oh and try telling GB that BW+40kg pullups aren't sexual.

GAH!

Crap session today.

Warmup on treadmill - tried to get proper warmed up, lower back and posterior chain in general was tight. The sudden increase in cardio and workload in general had made me sluggish.

Did three standing jumps on two feet, got 9 shoes twice. Equals out to around 288cms. That's ok I guess, considering how heavy my legs later turned out to be.

PC->FS:
3x60kg - argh
3x80kg - felt waaaay too hard.
Switched to just straight powercleans:
Started out by choking on 80kg
then did 3x80kg
then failed twice on 90kg.
What the flipping hell?!

Deads:
Wanted to regain momentum here.
3x140kg
2x150kg (epic math failure, 140+2*5 does NOT equal 160kg)
Multiple failures at 170kg

So pissed at this point.

Want on to run 5km in 28mins which is decent enough.
All I can say is thank god tomorrow is rest day, and depending on how everything plays out, friday and saturday might be as well.
Thinking I started out a little too aggressively.

THIEF!!! That was MY complex!

The run was good. All the American junk food is fighting back. Um, babe, you jumped straight into the shark pool without a life jacket. Perhaps a gentle swim would have been the way to get back into swimming the ocean. :P

What! Session is way more important than the hottie! Go punish yourself in the gym.

Give it two weeks max and I bet you will be back or at least on your way to being a monster again lol.

Session looks good though, exercises all look balanced.

Depending on when I get up and how I feel tomorrow, I'm thinking of doing some complexes and some cardio - nothing too heavy.
