N-Acetyl-L-Cysteine in powder

N-Acetyl-L-Cysteine in powder form... anyone use it? or tried it?

What's the taste like? Does it go off easily if exposed to air?

Not had a problem with it going funny when storing and fairly tasteless in water although I mix it with Milk Thistle (am) and Magnesium Citrate (pm).

NAC is a good supp. No extreme taste, but definitely keep it airtight... is very deliquescent (think thats the word) and can suck so much moisture out of the air it can end up as a puddle with no powder at all.

its granular like Beta Alanine, no dont go off easily and not a bad taste.

just about to try jarrows sustained release

always used NOW, but seen they failed 1 or 2 independent tests recently

I do 2x500mg a day on empty if possible, morning and evening.

Try stacking with Vit C

yip 500-600mg bd
empty stomach is best- but more importantly take away from a protein meal
never take around exercise as can be pro-oxidant
never take after alcohol consumption- again a pro-oxidant

So, would the BSD 750mg twice a day be the upper limit?

I guess for a liver abuser (AAS, alcohol, other drugs etc) then 750mg BID would prob be ideal. But maybe for cleaner living folks just one 750mg cap a day would suffice??

I kinda like being able to break up the does into at least two servings.

Iirc there is negative feedback if you go too high. Im sure a study concluded that 600mg was better than 1200mg

correct - anything over 1500mg is a waste and actually counter prod

I don't exceed 1000mg a day.

When my powder stash runs out I'll just do 750mg daily dose from BSD.

thats the main reason why I did them at 750mg tbh mate - as two of them a day if you use gear and prob take alcohol is all you need to get the optimum effect.

in certain circumstances the medical fraternity use in excess of 2-3g
but in the main- 1.2-1.5g daily will suffice- otherwise turns pro
be mindful of when you take it also- not near workouts ffs
