My new supp list

Postby Karlos on Fri Aug 01, 2008 7:56 pm

Trying to put together a list of effective supplements without going too crazy on price, its time to order soon, ran out of creatine a week ago!

Omega 3 fish oils
Multi Vitamin
Zinc
Magnesium
ALA
Vit C
Ginkgo Biloba
ALCAR
Green Tea Extract
Creapure
Taurine
Beta Alanin
OKG
BCAAs/ Leucine
WPC

Anything which should be in or out of that list guys? im thinking AAKG too (the best pre-sex supp going).

Reckon ALA is worth it with ALCAR and Omega 3 in there?

MPC and D Ribose would benefit you well for mass and energy levels.

This would be my 'moderate expense' supp's list;

EAAs
BCAAs
Leucine
Glutamine Peptides
MPC & WPC
Dex & Malto OR WMS
Vit's C, E & B Complex
ALA
Electrolytes
Creatine
Fish Oil
ZMA

Basically just all stuff that supports the demands of training and works a few anabolic pathways. With more cash to spend I'd add the following;

OKG
AAKG
BA
Reservatol
Rhodiola
Phosphatidyl Serine
GABA
Taurine
Co Q10
ALCAR
NAC
Krill Oil

There's probably more too but my brain ain't working right now...

Some expensive supp's in there and a few that don't offer good bang for buck in my experience.

Multi-vit? Which one? Unless you're buying real quality then save your pennies and spend on better foods - which vitamins are you worried about are lacking in your diet? I haven't bothered with a mutli for a while now.

Gingko? What's the thinking behind this? You really think ALA is a must have and worth the cash?

No EAA's? No MPC? No Rhodiola Rosea? No Krill Oil? You're missing out boy ;)

I find herbals a little overrated and certainly never seem to respond or feel any different using them.

Cheers for replies.

Will scrap-
ALA
Multi (maybe - the 'super one' not worth a carrot?)
Ginkgo

To add-
MPC
EAAs - these are damn expensive aren't they?
D-Ribose

A few things i've just got and seem to be lasting forever anyway, will just not buy them when they're gone.

What benefits do you find Rhodiola gives Bison?

I like EAA's but in all honesty I don't think you'd gain that much from using them with how you train and from using BCAA's and Leucine. You'd be better saving to cash or perhaps using it for a greens supplement post workout instead of Ginkgo.

a good quality multi is a must imo.

Basics:
Greens drink
multi
Magnesium
Zinc (once zinc levels are good then a good multi can suffice)
Green Tea
WPC
BCAAs
Glutamine
Carbs (if lean enough; <10% BF)

Loads more if you want but they are key ones imo.
I do like EAAs but expensive for sure.

Good choices but I think the D-Ribose is too expensive, needs heavy dosing as far as I'm aware??

The Super One is Super Shit imho mate, I threw mine away!!

Helps me in a few ways but most noticeably my mood, especially when under stress.

You can dose at around 4g daily and see benefit.
