Hello everyone
My name is Scott Brady and I am a Strength, Conditioning & Nutritional Specialist based in Belfast, Northern Ireland. My services are run under the health4ni.com (Health For Northern Ireland) title.
I graduated from Loughborough Uni in 1998 with a 2.1 in PE & Sports Science. I didn't know what I wanted to do at that time in my life and so stayed on for another year and did a MSc in Information Technology. This lead to me joining a large multi-national IT company and becoming bit of a computer geek for 7 years. I loved it to start with, but as the years rolled on and I moved up the company I felt less desire to be there.
In 2005 I got married in Northern Ireland (my wife is from NI) and life changes were a happening; we decided that we'd move to NI and make a life of it over there (it's long way from my home of Hastings on the South East coast, but I love it in NI).
With this move came the decision to change careers and pursue something that I probably should've always done. I completed a few courses (Poliquin ones) and got a PT job at an Esporta gym. I have also trained people at their homes although this is a tricky area to be successful in.
This week I am involved with the opening of a Performance Centre in Belfast where we hope to train teams, top class athletes and the general public. I can't wait to get started (in fact I had my first client in the centre today!) and have high hopes for the place.
I'm constantly learning not only about training methods, but also nutritional protocols. One thing I've learnt is that nutrition is the key to health and leanness. It is also the key the strength, but this is where there are various ways achieve it.
So, please feel free to ask any questions and I shall endeavour to answer them. You'll get honest opinions from me. No crap. Just what I think. Hopefully it's correct, but I'm also intelligent enough to know I do not know everything. Life is a journey along which you learn information. There's still a long way to go.
Scott
