Just thought id let you all know Mike got a very respectable 3rd in his show. He looked nice and cut in the upperbody but over carbed a little so lost his harness a bit in the legs. Still certainly looked good,balanced and presented well.

copy them on to your hard drive then use photobucket or something similar to upload. You manageto upload your own pics okay, so this shopuld be easy.

Nope the standard trunks and a tan. Dude looked good can't knock him for putting in the hard work. Especially with all the other stuff he does and the fact that he is also planning a wedding

i just call that life mate - nothing above and beyond.

i suppose we are different. I haver personally found cardio, dieting,training and planning a wedding dam stressful. Im sat on my arse all day at work. Im not sure i could take on much more in the form is rushing around

i think its what you are used to. I work way better under stress - i cannot sit still and have an easy life- it would bore me. I need lots of things on the go - to make life worth living - but thats me. During the two years when I was off training and could do limited things - I could not relate to or understand how people could have an easy life and enjoy it - without challenges, stress and goals - life is a pile of shite. IMHO

They say that three of the most stressful things you can face are weddings, bereavement, and moving house - and I do think all three of those can be very stressful indeed (although of course there are more stressful things - poverty, war, famine... so I guess we've gotta remain thankful for where we are in the world!), and having any one of those happen whilst also putting the body through the demands of calorie defecit and high levels of exercise is definitely going to add to the stress further.

The thing that makes it ok though is that it's a temporary phase, and all leading to good things. You may feel a bit worn down right now Galt, but soon enough it'll all pay off and you'll feel great

I must admit as long as i have a base for work like and office then i like to be pushed and have goals to work towards within that. I crave career progression and a more demanding role. Preferable within and industry that i have an interest for. I think if i worked for say a supplement company as an advisor i would be doing unpaid overtime as i would love it.
Its dashing about and driving around that i find stressful. I need that base

Back to Mike. First show done,did a good job mostly off his own back,with limited funds on to winning that weigth class next year

Sometimes the more you have on, the more it makes you focus i find. If i have nothing happening i tend to sit on the net too much. If im busy i have my time planned out much better and im organised and more focused on what i have to do say ..between getting home from work and hitting the sack at 10.30 no later.

I half agree with KP, but i dont liek things too crazy. certain pressures do my nut in. Money pressures are the worst i think.

Definitely - money is one thing that you never want to worry about.

Stress at work can be good as it shows you care. I get the best out of myself when I'm slightly stressed, but I wouldn't want it like that all of the time.

Galt - I think unpaid overtime is pretty much a prerequisite in most industries/companies if you want to get anywhere these days. It's a highly visible sign of commitment, even if you're not being as efficient or effective as you could be, face time is really important. I'd never do it for the sake of it though. If I've done all I have to do, then I'm out of the door.

I can keep training and work pretty separate in that stress at work doesn't affect my training. Wasn't always like that and I went through a pretty steep learning curve in my first year or 2 out of Uni. You have to learn to cope with stress if you're going to enjoy yourself and get the most out of your time outside of work, otherwise relationships and your other interests will all start to suffer.

I agree having tight funds are the worst. We have been a bit close to the cloth this year but i dont mind as we will have the best day ever so being broke for a bit matters not.

Mike did the UKFBB Leicester show u80kg class. This is the federation that qualifies your for the british. I will try and get the pics sorted later on after tea time
