You made that look so easy. 8-)

Easily double that number of reps I reckon. I'd offer to spot you since you don't live that far from me, but I think I'd be too in awe of your lifting to be any good! lol!

Nice work dude. :)

I'd definately have my thumbs wrapped tightly around that bar... don't want any slips made.

Awesome tho mate. Perfect control and form! get yourself another big lad to spot you and see what you can really lift! I reckon a bit more from that vid!

I lose a lot of power when wrapping my thumbs around the bar due to the discomfort! How i do it is just so comfortable for me.

it wasn't a detraction honest. Just an observation. In fact, our hands/wrists are stronger when slightly back which they would be in the false grip. But there is always the issue of increased risk if you lose it.

 Never took it as one! Definately suffer less wrist pain than when i used a regular grip,it takes a while to get used too but for me is the only way to heavy bench. The increased risk is always in the back of my mind, only a couple of weks back i nearly dropped the bar on myself whilst incline benching 120kg due to not focusing properly on my grip !

I wasn't saying it's a bad thing... Do what's more comfortable to you.

I'm just saying I'd have my grip as tight as possible with that kinda weight* looming over me!

* I'd also be getting crushed like an ant if my arms were trying to hold up that much weight, so no matter what grip I was using I'd still be fucked.

Yeah i see alot of people using false grip, usually the bigger guys as it happens.. but after seeing the video on youtube of the bloke dropping a big weight onto his chest..and the bruises!..i would never use false grip personally.

Have you tried normal grip JTM? if so why don't you like it?

I have Karlos,in fact i only really started to use false grip in the last 2-3 years. This was about the time that i started benching 160+. I just find that i get a better push on the bar with false grip and its a lot kinder on the wrists!
