Ben thats awesome dude.

Makes my spotted atttempt some months ago look absolutely pathetic.

The way you controlled the negative is so so impressive.

Cheers Alex, due to the fact that i have no spotter i always strictly control the negative on bench this way. Sometimes i feel it uses up too much energy but better safe than sorry. I think that with a spotter i could well equal/beat my pb of 190,feeling strong lately but to wary to go over 180.Repping 170 for 4/5 at the moment :D

Yeah, that's why i was wondering. People either seem to be natural squatters and deadlifters or natural benchers dont they. My squatting and pulling is similar to yours but your bench is literally 70kg on mine. :x

Thing is,i have been training for 10 years plus, but only started squating 2 years ago and deadlifting 18 months ago. Used to train chest mon, back tues, shoulders wed, arms thurs then chest again. Poor routine really.

held it a touch too close to his throat for a touch too long. poor bloke!

Jake - that bench is fantastic, especially because of the lack of a spotter. excellent work :]

Why are Chavs like slinkies? They have no real use but it's great to watch one fall down a flight of stairs.

Yeh as Rogue says resting bar on chest for a second. Rogue advised me to do some pause sets at 150-160kg. Really has helped get through the plateau i was on.

Excellent benching Jake, it must take a lot of confidence to do that without a spotter
