Man's & Pingu's Steak

Just had a great piece of Sirloin that I left soaking in Guinness over night and cooked on the BBQ on half heat fro 4.30 mins each side and some Stilton melted on in the last couple of mins of cooking time. Came out around Medium, fairly pink, but I think most would call Medium Rare.

Sounds lovely mate. I like doing that with redwine and garlic overnight as well.

Do you have a gas BBQ?

Yes and couldn't live without it as I cook on it daily and the BBQ taste means there's less of a need to use sauces full of sugars and preservatives to.

Only a hint of flavour and the amount held in the meat is so small that the alcohol wouldn't register. Just makes the meat really tender and moist.
