lucozade protein

Postby julesm on Mon Dec 07, 2009 10:55 pm

often admired lucozade for their longevity within the sports drinks market- and with the old classic of john barnes with his 90 mins of sheer hell bit

it seems they are diluting (pardon the pun) into other disciplines of sports nutrition- but failing horribly with ingredient profile

Have seen that stuff before - it looks crap, as does the whole range. Marketed as if cutting edge though... <sigh>

Lucozade used to be marketed as a children's soft drink; it was failing, presumably due to its 'acquired' taste, and then some bright spark realised it was isotonic and rebranded it as a sports drink (Sprite is also isotonic, FYI).

Flat orangeade or lemonade... great stuff to take with you when trekking somewhere hot & humid. Keeps electrolyte balance up, and the calories help too ;)
