Lower - 23/11/08

Squats
50 x 6
80 x 5
100 x 3
belt on
130 x 1
150 x 1 http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=_xLLI793SLc - stupid camera angle
150 x 1 - http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=fOV-5DLNtmU - better angle, but this one is higher than the first I think.
150 x 1

-Depth may have been very slightly high on the 2nd and 3rd (even 1st but I didn't think it was) 150's. The video of the second 150 single, which paused at 17/18 seconds shows about parralel I think. Feedback would be nice (as it's hard to judge yourself). All in all pleased as they weren't THAT difficult.

Speed Deadlifts
60 x 5
100 x 1
130 x 1
130 x 1
130 x 1
130 x 1
130 x 1

Plyometrics - forgot this originally haha, should write my workouts down!
Kneeling jumps
bw x 3
15kg dumbells x 3
25 kg dumbells x 3

Kneeling jump to vertical jump
x 3

Overhead squats
50 x 5
50 x 2

Speed deadlifts
150 x 1 (double over and fast, pleased with this)

Core stuff
Dragon flag x 5
L-chinups - BW x 18

hahaha standard. I've uploaded a video of the first 150kg attempt, looks deep but silly camera angle and plates means you can't see. :(

Bad news: Doctor thinks I have mild glandularfever. :(. I thought that it was just freshers flu untill it got progressively worse and I missed a whole nights sleep. That being said on Sunday (when it was starting to get bad, I did have a really good session). Hopefully I'm recovered by the 30th and fighting fit.

Shit man! Glandy is nasty. Had that last year, took me 3 weeks to get better and got relapses every now and again after it.
Take it easy, otherwise you can really do yourself in.

Sorry to hear that but get well soon.

Just gotta repeat C_D_V's comment.

Take it easy. I got glandular fever during my -Levels but kept trying to do stuff and got really ill, took me more than 3 months to get better, so take it easy! and get better soon

Resting is easier said than done when someone's already signed up for a PL comp in a week..

Hope you can make it mate but don't kill yourself.

And nah I ent been kissing any dirty freshers for a long time as I haven't been out on the piss since like the start of october (i'm a good boy; training takes precedence over girls and alcohol). lol =D.

Good luck in your comp tomorrow and here's hoping the glandular fever doesn't affect you too much! :D

I missed the comp :(. Last night I just suddenly started feeling sick, though I could sleep it off. Woke up about 4 times in the night feeling nauseous and shaking again. :(.

As I said before, I was gonna switch to olympic lifting after this comp, so I'm still gonna hold by that and try to find a coach for when I recover.

Shame about that mate, no big deal though. Oly lifting definitely sounds like a good idea, can you get some decent coaching through uni?

Deadlift 05/12/08

Deadlifts
100 x 5 (hook)
140 x 1 (hook)
170 x 8 (mixed grip)

Crossfit Metcon-y stuff.

500meter row (1:38)
120kg deadlift x 10

3:20. Hard.

Sumo deadlift for speed.
120 x 1, was super slow so stopped - I suck at sumo deadlifting.

Core stuff
Dragon flag x 5

I thought you used mixed grip for the 170x8. If not that's pretty impressive gains in grip strength since last week you struggled with 170x1 DO.

You beat me at everything today, lolz.
