That's wholesale, not retail. Amazon are selling the track at an 11p loss to remind the market that it exists as a download retailer. They've confirmed that it counts towards the charts

it still does mate - as Cowell already has Xfactor and thus ITV over a barrell if they doint pay more next year.

Cowell's new winner is already on track to be huge in the USA - you reckon he cares what happens here either way? Nope.

Besides Susan Boyle has made him a mint already this Christmas

oh mate - she has made him - the figures are immense! dont forget Leona as well she has talent mind you - and will go along way - you have to admire his success and how he has done it; regardless.

I also dont like the show and refuse to watch it - but hey its giving the nation entertainment and from those voting figures they obv like it

The story goes that the other single is on a label thats a subsidairy of SonyBMG and so they are all laughing anyway but Simon ss astute and will realise that if his geordie kid gets a number one itll be more collateral for his stuff in the States......hence why he prob wants him to be the number one...

The only sad thing about this is that people are uniting against the man to oust the X-Factor...more people voted on X Factor than they did for the last general election...fucking tragic.

Cowell did mention the other day that he wants to start an X Factor style political show. As daft as it sounds, it could quite possibly be the best idea he's ever had...

that would be to compete against Sky and its Political Show - but if ITV dont pay XFactor he may sell it to Sky - so that could even be a political ploy by Cowell for Sky? who knows

Don't think so, but certainly a resounding victory for the illusion of free will. It's not exactly Tiananmen Square, but we Brits like to feel we've done our bit

Definitely not a publicity stunt. The guy that started it was on Radio 5 the other day when RATM played live and was completely straight up.

I meant for the X Factor kid as he's gotten far more public exposure than he otherwise would. And they share the same record company...

They do but it wasn't really the point. It was just a campaign for proper music over manufactured tripe.
