According to the Journal of the American Medical Association, medical treatment is the third-leading cause of death after heart disease and cancer in the US.

Additionally:
• A 17-year-old girl who mistakenly received organs from a donor with a different blood type is not expected to live more than a few days. The mistake is blamed on a “clerical error.” The reality here is that an irresponsible mistake made by someone in the medical profession will cost this poor girl her life. Because of a careless and needless mistake, this young girl will die.

• Penis extensions are the top cosmetic surgery treatment for British men. I think this speaks for itself. Ouch!

• New study findings support the idea that regular exercise throughout life can help reduce a woman's risk of breast cancer. Can you imagine the increase in quality and quantity of life if people just exercised?

• Women who add extra vitamin C to their diet during pregnancy may lower their risk of premature delivery. Just another reason to take your vitamins.

• One third of all cancer deaths are related to diet and inactivity. That’s about 186,000 lives a year that could be saved if people changed these two living habits. Isn’t that motivation to exercise and eat right?

• On average, surgery tools (sponges, scissors, clamps, etc.) are left in 1500 patients a year in the US. Another good reason to eat that “Apple a day.”

I remember reading in new scientist around 10 yrs ago that side-effects/reactions to medication was the third (I think?) biggest killer.

Makes you wonder about what udo erasmus calls toximolecular medical practices rather than an orthomolecular approach.
