My osteopath had me start doing crunches with a dumbell on my abs and my feet in the air to flatten them out, i was a bit dubious about this but it seems to be working as ive gone in a notch on my belt without dieting or increasing cardio work.

I have no idea if there is any scientific basis for this working, using weight to force muscles into shape sounds a bit odd to me, maybe Scott or Canuck can comment on this, but it seems to have worked.
Ive also got 0 back pain squatting or deadlifting since doing these.

I believe prolonging a cycle beyond it's planned length, cutting down on PCT and cutting down on time between cycles are all very good signs of 1.
