How are you training?

Postby Wardie on Fri Nov 27, 2009 2:17 pm

Hello dudes!

So what sort of training are you doing at the moment? Are you running a 3/4 day split? Full body? Upper/Lower? GVT? HIT? DC?

What do you think has given you the best results?

I'm training Upper/Lower at the moment, but only doing legs once at the moment due to my funky back.

This has usually been pretty good for me in terms of strength, but I think full body 3 times a week gives me the best size gains, although after a while I can start to lose strength and feel a bit overtained from it.
This is ten percent luck, twenty percent skill, fifteen percent concentrated power of will. Five percent pleasure and fifty percent pain.

3 x fullbody is my all time favourite.

day1- 5x5
day2 - 8-12x3 & lower explosive
day3 - 3x3 & upper Explosive

also doing sprints once a week.

This for me is the most fun, great for body comp, strength is consistently improving and hypertrophy is pretty decent.

Very nice outline Karlos. :)
Overtraining shouldn't be a concern for most people with a bit of smart programming and if you're really stressed out in real life and/or have shit recovery, just throw in a deload week every so often. I really think way too many people have picked up on this "overtraining" term and use it as an excuse to avoid hard work.
