Don't go to Carrefour gym. Not because it's crap, but because I'm sick and tired of waiting around to use equipment, so don't want anymore "non pretty ladies only using the x-trainer or treadmills"

Other than that... welcome! From one post I can tell you'll fit in around here as well as you do in Ollies t-shirt you wear because it smells of him!

He he- Carrefour is an outside possibility actually, I need to wait and see where I get a job before making my final decision. What's the kit in there like these days, can you deadlift? If so then don't worry, the X-Trainer will be all yours.

It's not too bad in there, I had a session there at lunchtime a few weeks back. I can imagine it being a nightmare when it's busy though, depends when you can get in I guess :)

Ollie, I went to Kelsey Kerridge today- not a bad setup in there, there's a squat/power rack (of sorts) and I was one of three people in the gym, being dole scum has its upsides. I'm in Cambs for the next couple of weeks so I reckon I'll head there once a week for some deadlifts and then make up the difference in the Sawston VC gym- it may be gash but it's easy to sneak into for free! (Tenner says I get busted the next time I go in now I've written that...)

Cool - I remember going in there before rock climbing once and remember it being pretty intimidating for a 17 year old kid, probably a good sign...

Give me a shout when you head back to the Brizzle, I can blag you into David Lloyds if you fancy a session :)

I'm up this weekend as it happens, was thinking I'd give you a shout but on balance I'm not sure if I'll have time between drinking cider and fending off the city's female populace, you know how it is. If I can make it though then Sunday would be the one, will you be in the gym then? If not then no bother, I move back there properly on the weekend of the 18th so will pester you then.

I'm not about this weekend mate, off down to Woolacombe for a spot of camping and attempted surfing

It's going to be a bit tricky between now and June as I've got some exams coming up but I'll be in the gym that weekend (18th) if you've got some time handy on the Sunday, or in fact a few afternoons that week... we'll find a slot at some point anyway, will be good to catch up!

Sorry for the slow reply, been off making a dent in Poland's vodka reservoir. (My body being a temple, and all that)

I've got an SX Trail, and a Trailstar that's languishing in bits in the shed. I want to get something a bit lighter built up so I can go on some proper 'bike rides' this summer, do the Welsh trail centres etc., but need to come up with a bunch of money before that'll happen... how many kidneys does one need to ride a mountain bike anyway?

MBR had a good piece on full sussers for under a grand. All bikes that could take abuse from a downhiller too....

I'd imagine there are some great deals on frames ATM if you had the inclination to build something up.

Yeah, one of my mates is working for Madison now so I've got half an eye on a Commencal Meta frameset- might have to wait a little while though as he's just bought himself one, selfish git.
