Healthy homemade spread.

Blend the following.

- 250ml of high quality extra virgin olive oil (dark glass bottle) or 50:50 with udo's oil

- 250 gms organic butter

chuck in a tub, refrigerate and it's done. Spreads straight from the fridge and is a good way for kids to obtain good quantities of healthy fats. If it spreads a little thin, try 225ml/275gms to harden it up.

And why not adding a bit of powdered garlic to that mix? It is damn good on toasted bread!
Or add some coconut oil to the mix if you like the taste (I use coconut oil instead of butter most of the times).
All that I say is hypothetically speaking and I do not condone the use of illegal substances. You should also eat your vegetables and use high SPF sunscreen

I like the sound of the powdered garlic!!

The ratio's were a happy coincidence, as the trial and error was to get the melting point right. Not sure if the coconut oil would alter that....but just using coconut oil as you've described is another option. it's just good to have alternatives...something instantly spreadable that isn't full of shite.

Sounds fantastic and avoids hydrogenated crap!

I use a hemp oil called "Good Oil" which would work as an ingredient too; http://www.goodwebsite.co.uk/products.html
