guys anyone seen the re-run of this?

SUSPECT - Look at the timings and how Lewis then suddenly slipped to 5th which is all he needed!..look at the distance from and timings before the corner and then look at how Hamilton was able to catch that distance! The 5th placed car BREAKED for far too long that was NOT required..approacking the corner and AFTER the corner.....

I call potential bullshit on fair play! he may have been let through!

and yes this happens! ie mclaren fine last year!

Study the race and tell me hand on heart that Lewis got to 5th without help from the 5th placed driver...

glock was using dry tires to try place well but fairplay it got waaaaaaaaay to wet for them, that was a big risk they made (pit would have taken too long if he did change them), think how fast those cars have to go. Glock said after that last lap was nearly impossible with them..

apparently it was a cunning plan?
mclaren told lewis to let vettel through as they thought vettel may charge him off the track, they calculated that LH had enough time to overtake glock, yet be out of trouble?

was a truly amazing spectacle, it did seem a bit odd that LH went THAT wide on that bend he was overtaken on

fair fucks to the 100 million bastard kid :-) it was so funny to see the camera pan to the ferrari team thinking they had stolen it, and then their faces when lewis dry bummed them

Lol - havce you seen the re-runs? How can Toyota lose THAT much time and take the corner so bad? Yet look at their previous 4 corners and they were impecable....something just didnt look right with the catch up its almost like "hurry up and overtake me dude!" could be right though dry tires? but they took the previous corners and stretches well.....just didnt stack up.

Ive seen the re run about 10 times mate, me and the missus are huge F1 and Mclaren fans :D

The difference between Intermediates and slicks in the wrong weather is massive, different parts of the track hold water differently and after the first downpour it was the pit straight and preceeding corners that held the water longest. Glock did well just finishing but Mclaren's wall had already calculated going by the rate he was slowing that Hamilton could catch and pass him so didnt need to fight Vettel. It was a gamble, but a calculated one, which is what F1 is all about.
If you watch the last corner into the pit lane straight, youll see as soon as glock puts some power down to come across from wide into the apex he loses the back end, he had to creep round like an old lady in a micra.

Im actually not a massive Hamilton fan, i think him and his Dad need to be less arrogant and he needs to calm down a lot still, but i am a Mclaren fan with them being the predominant British team and i fucking hate Ferrari with a passion.. they are the Man Utd of the F1. Limitless money, if a decision goes their way then all well and good, if it goes against them they cry and cry till they get their own way.

My impression is his dad is a bit of a 'stage mom' , Hamilton is an amazing talent, but im not convinced his Dad is the best person at this point to nurture it.

He's done brilliantly so far, he worked extra jobs to pay for him to go karting etc, but its time to hand his career over to someone that can take him from young talent to great british motorsport legend. Alonso should have been his mentor but i wouldnt be suprised if it was his Dad's insistance that he was better than him that drove Hamilton to challenge him.

Yes I see what you mean. Was reading his profile last night now that every man and hisdog want to sponser him/them - and credit to him he worked to the grind but wouldnt 99% of fathers do that for their kids? Itsd obv excellent PR and all but there ya go.

Wonder how long his fling with the PCD will last as its so obvious she wants to get hitched with him - her praying on camera before the races was a little to OTT - leave that shit for home or private.

Saying that - LH seems a quiet kind of dude? Doesnt talk alot?

I guess for his dad he must find it hard to let go - he obv will need to soon I reckon - but that may be one of LH's biggest issues. Wasnt his dad the key player in asking LH to move from UK?

Yeah thats an aspect of Hamilton i have to confess i dont like, the way quite a lot of stars like Puff Daddy and that PCD have latched onto him, he needs to stay grounded or he may burn brightly for a few seasons then fizzle out. I dont want to see that happen as hes generated a lot of interest in the sport.

As an aside, Im not looking forward to it moving to the BBC next year, ITV's coverage has been pretty good throughout, be interesting to see who the commentary team is, just hope they dont get a gloomy expert in like Mansell or Hill.

Whilst there's no doubt he has incredible ability, I just can't find myself liking Lewis Hamilton... I don't know why I just don't find him endearing at all.... Still cracking racing driver and no doubt he knows what he's doing. :)
