Grow Your Own

I've started this on a small scale due to the time of year but have some space for a reasonable sized patch at the front of the house for next year. Currently I have mint, parsley, flat leaf parsley, spinach, basil and aphache chilli estabilshed and growing well although the spinach is a late addition and is almost ready to start picking.

For getting in greens I think it's well worth trying out and the plants all regenerate surprisingly quickly, out stripping demand while up keep is very low maintenance.

I've been eating them as they rippen off and the sun this week has really set them off with 6 or 7 well on the way. I don't find them too hot and have a really sweet initial taste like a sweet red pepper before the heat kicks in. Nice added to fajitas or bulgar wheat.
