Evening all,

It's been a while since I've posted, anywhere really, with the exception of now and again on MT but looking to get back into it now I have more free time...

... anyhoo, it's been a while since I've bought from the bulk suppliers and I'm looking to go back to them having squandered my cash on brands like cnp et all and I wondered do you still rate/recommend BSD these days or do you prefer others, there seems to be some new players in the market! I've come to you guyz'n'dolls for impartial, no nonsesnse advice, be gentle...

I have gone to cheaper as I dont mind unflavoured

I bought 5 kg of nutrisport dog turd ( says vanilla on tub) cos it was on offer - avoid

BSD cookies and cream - if you like flavours that an strawberry are brilliant

BSD remains the best for flavoured whey

I know better than to get Nutrisport, there's been 1001 threads on MT regarding Nutrisport and most reviews are none too complementary about it's taste although it's annoyingly damn good value!! It's goto be flavoured protein, I do like my flavoured protein and BSD's flavours were pretty sexual last time I tried them, MPC choco/strawb was freakin awesome!!

How do you find the quality of bsd these days, I did have an 'incident' before which dented my confidence in them?

i find that a bit of a weird comment tbh-
if i get a bottle of corked wine does it dent my confidence in the vineyard or the supermarket i bought it from- hardly
did bsd not rectify your order? or did they say they were going to do further tests before resolving the issue like some bulk suppliers.

purely subjective on my part- i have always been more than happy with whatever i have ordered from bsd, and service/delivery times have been to my liking
anomolies will always occur

I see your point but and without going into specifics as an open forum is no place to discuss, it was not a simple case of clumping or dodgy flavouring and the fault was entirely BSD's. In fairness they did offer to replace but I ended up taking a small discount on a future order. I couldn't afford the inconvenience of returning/replacing the product but I'm reasonably confident and will give them another go, it was after all one problem out of dozens of prefect orders! The only other supplier in contention is MP...

So would the general recommendation be BSD over MP, these are the only 2 bulk suppliers I've ever used!? I'm actually not after much, Isolate, MPC, Creatine and ZMA!

Seeing as you've got an interest in BSD, what do you make of their ZMA - typically a dose of zma would be spread over 2-4 caps/tabs but bsd has a complete serving and then some in just 1 cap. Is it simply a case of ther other comanies have a stupid amount of fillers in their product compared to BSD?

I'm very happy with BSD's product range and love the flavours although I do quite like MP's Choc Mint as well. I don't think you can honestly pick much between any of the "good" bulk suppliers for protein quality now so it's more a case of who's flavours work best for you and how well they mix.

I do however find BSD's range of capped products to be very good and also very well priced such as Fish Oils and Krill Oils. Their ZMA is decent although I prefer to keep dosing with Zinc and Magnesium seperate and at different times of the day.

Where do you source your mag from pal, I've had a goosey to make my own zma as well but a good quality source that doesn't involve having to sell a kidney to pay for it is a bit tough to find!

True!! BSD were ace when I contacted them! they are more than deserving of my business again - mp can't touch BSD for flavouring!!

BSD over MP any day.

Though MPs flapjacks er just so fucking good it should be illegal. Fruit&nuts version is by far the best bar I've ever had.

MP for small amounts otherwise purebulk for large amounts but they are US based.

X2 for Purebulk

Taste wise for whey I think BSD kicks the crap out of MP and anything else I've tried at a similar price, or even when shelling out a fair bit more cash.

Both BSD and MP are good quality, I just prefer the taste and mixability of BSDs stuff. Some very very decent pricing on other BSD supps too and some excellent products that aren't common like Na R ALA.

Yeah, for the most part I feel the same - placed order with BSD yesterda, made the right choice for sure ^_^
