My Tat on my then even skinnier arm. H R Giger, the original is listed missing/stolen. Was originally done in airbrush and the reproduction is almost perfect as the original also has unfinished feet. This pic taken just after the 3 hour single sitting by Ash of Ashs Tattoo studio in Warrington - awesome bloke.

You don't need a story mate, just realise it's there forever. I waited 11 years before getting this done, not sure why. That was for me, next one will be symbolic of my family(direct, missus and kids) and my role within it - maybe a cartouche with thier initilas or similar.

My tatts, pics from camera phone don't do them justice, The dragon is the gaurdian of Heaven, legend says that if the Koi managed to swim to the top of the yellow river it would turn into a dragon, so it symbolizes working/trying hard to acheive your goals.... Pretty much they all have meanings. Oh and i love jap tatts, they're all on my arms.. just need a little more cash to have both sleeves finished.

Crappy camera shot of my left arm, an example of what not to do, i randomly got any old crap on my arms and legs around the time i was in the forces (just before and after). I dont regret getting tats, but i do regret not going to a good artist and not having a theme, if i was a blank canvas now id have tribal work down my arms and across my back and shoulders.

Piercings > tattoos.

You can always just take them out if you get bored of them.

I'm not so sure about that, I didn't find the tattoo too painful in fact, it was the best pain I've ever endured. Getting my tongue pierced hurt for like a week after and neither were like the pain of biting the bar accidently while eating. I also had the eyebrow pierced, that got ripped out by my ex after it almost being ripped out by various jumpers and t-shirts, and my lip - didn't like the flat back so used a ball, constant ragging of it for amusement caused it to get almost completely buried in the skin on the inside of my lip, there was a crater there when I finally removed it but it usd to be fun to spray water throught it. All are permanently removed now because all jewelry is gay! A shot in the sack and one in each nut is still way up there and fortunately you only need do that once and quite symbolic that losing your ability to procreate be the most awful pain you can endure

Hmmm, didn't explain myself properly I meant the pain of tattoos was much better. That's why it kicks piercing pain into touch and yeah you can run out of places to get pierced if you don't want to look like you've just escaped from being hung up in a butchers shop or that your day job is as a pincushion.

My tongue didn't hurt but it did swell up and I talked like I was drunk for a week. Agreed with the pain of biting the bar, which is why I now use PTFE Barbells. Eyebrow was pierced twice but kept getting ripped out in sports. Re getting a piercing ripped out by an ex, I have you beat. Ex ripped out my bellybutton stud. Hurt like fuck, got such a sexy scar there now....still I broke his nose in retaliation so I won.

Lip piercing, a ring stops you worrying the back of it. Nose piercings make your eyes water when you get em done. Tragus just damn hurt and then I had to take the bloody thing out for diving. Construction always takes aggggges to heal properly. As for other piercings, well there are 2camps, one camp which gets heightened sensations and one that loses all I know people in both. Much prefer tatts and as soon as I design another I like will be getting more ink....tattoos across my spine tickle, and touch ups are a nice jump up in pain

Amen to that, I can still remember the crunching noise as the needle went through the cartilage... it was sore for a while too, for at least a month afterwards I'd get woken up by the pain if I rolled onto that side of my head while asleep. Heh, I had my tongue done twice, as I lost a stud on holiday. Damn thing healed up in the 2 days it took to get a replacement.

Schaffold/construction was my most painful, cartilidge definitely doesn't like being pierced. Most annoying when trying to sleep, though it was bareable in about 4 days.

Right arm, I have my angel which is for a very good friend of mine, she's helped me through alot of my toughest times and I'll never thank her enough for that.

Spider web on my right arm is a prison tattoo for racism (old school prisoners got them on their arms for killing another race... very unknown to most) Nowadays the spiderweb symbolises being caught up in some sort of trap, mine symbolises my struggle with depression etc.

Three bands with circular "protecting" symbol on the inner forearm, this I got done when my father died to "protect" my three sisters.

Few other random ones for different bands that I like on my right arm too...
Stars on my wrists symbolise my hot & cold (good & bad) sides.

Left arm is taken from artwork by Alan Forbes, it's the artwork from my favorite album by my favorite band.

Chest is "BROKEN" which is how I feel within myself, no-one's perfect, not even me, I'm broken but not beaten is part of the meaning beyond this one, but there's soo many different reasons why I got this.

Swallows on my stomach are symbols of Hope & prosperity... speaks for itself really.

On my back I've got a Nephelim (fallen angel) for my mother, I'm not religious, but She's been flawless to me and thats that... I'm not a soppy **** really.
I've also got on the back of my neck the gonzo fist (HS Thompson)


I've got a pirate sleeve on my leg (unfinished) it's all browns to make it look ike a wooden leg from afar, but upclose you can see all the detail.

On the side of my fingers I've got "love your hate" and "just like heaven" Second one is the song from the cure as it's my favorite song of all time.

that's about it for the moment... altho LOTS more in the pipeline.

I must say piercings are all good and fun, I find them a little more painful than tattoo's, but I've strecthed my ears to 18mm, lip didn't hurt, and the prince albert (cock) was a piece of piss (until I started stretching it up)

basically, the end of your knob is the most sensitive part, the inside of your knob is WAY more sensitive than the exterior, therefore, for a guy it's hitting parts that make it all the more pleasureable...

For a woman, it's a bit piece of metal that rubs against certain spots inside in a defferent way than a normal mortal man cannot.

The piercing itself wasn't painful to be honest, the stretching was the worst part... Oh that and having to go into hospital due to the ball getting stuck in the piercing tunnel and neding to get a little snip to get it back out...

Feet weren't too painful at all really... a bit tender towards the toe joints and outsie edge, but nothing you won't be able to handle.

The condom piercing isn't too bad (especially with this new ring as there's no edges so to speak) but yeah, you get a bit worried at times when it get's going. Definately have to take it out for the bum tho...

I love the pain... I keep trying to find areas that hurt more...

According to everyone else I've spoken to about feet tattoo's they hated it, one guy's had to have three sessions already because he couldn't take the pain for long enough... still not finished!

It's a gooooood pain. Only prob was my toe tatts took about 10min each. Not really enough. I really wanted to get my footprints tattoed on the base of my feet, but no one will. Shame.

Soles of your feet? That's a crazy place even by my standards... Seriously.. there's a reason why they don't want to do it. Plus it will fade in like a week to practically nothing... I've got a star on the end of my middle finger (well did have) it faded in a matter of weeks... and god damn painful.

Go for it if you want, but jesus, tell me when & where you're geting it done because I'd love to be there for that mad moment.

Best thing I can say would be, keep on at one artist, if you bug them enough, they'll realise how serious you are about it and eventually give in... I'm doing that at the moment for my cock piece.
