Flower Sprouts

Postby health4ni on Thu Jan 20, 2011 2:18 pm

I was in Marks & Spencers earlier this week and saw these vegetables called "Flower Sprouts". Literally a cross between a Brussels sprout & Curly Leaf Kale. So I thought I'd buy them as they have to be so healthy

I ate one raw and it was ok. Kale raw imo is not great. And neither is a Brussels sprout. But this bad boy was ok.

Once steamed it was even better.

So it's now my new favourite vegetable.

No I don't. But similar I reckon.

These things will do wonders for females estrogen balance (like watercress & the brassica family does).

Look interesting. Am not a fan of brussel sprouts, really don't like the taste, which is a shame as the nutritional profile is awesome...i like my greens though, and consider them important as well as to get a variety of them, so will look out for these :)
