Fat Burner Recommendations

Postby Pingu on Wed May 26, 2010 4:38 pm

Det's recent thread on a "different" way to burn fat reminded me I needed to ask for some recommendations from you guys for decent fat burners?

Am happy with my diet, am using a carb cycling approach for both fat loss and adaptation purposes. However, I would like to give myself a helping hand. I only want to lose about 1-2% BF (am sitting about 17.5-18% atm) but am finding it difficult to shift.

Do you have any recommendations for good products? I want something that is going to work so value for money rather than cheap.

I have some Na-Rala still but would like to either make a stack or find a good ready made product that people have found works...and I trust your opinions.

Thanks in advance! Am open to all suggestions!

I don't have any practical experience, so others can give better advice than I, but from the studies I've looked at Green Tea Extract (GTE) is one of the better ones, as is Conjugated Linoleic Acid (CLA).

There are issues with CLA though in that there are several forms of it (isomers) and you definitely want the right one to get the desired effect (the trans-10,cis-12 isomer). It might not say the isomer on the product, so ideally you want one which openly states it uses this one.

CLA has been given a recent bad rep as it has been deemed as bad as trans fats. Shall try to find the info again.

I tend to agree. If it isn't shifting naturally then get on the real shizz

I think Craig's got it right. If I was to use a fat burner, I think it would be ECA... I think I'm gonna save it for when I've got a bit more mass.

Quick question about ECA though... Is it legal? If so, where can it be sourced?

Its a grey area. Some of the online shops sell stacks such as

Thanks very much guys...appreciated! This last little bit is being so damned stubborn and I can't cut too much else out or I will just totally flop in training.

would have to agree with craig- any commercially sourced uk eca tends to be poo and full of crappy alkaloids-
at least you know if you go underground you "hopefully" get the proper synthetic version
