Yes, definitely for cutting due to the inefficiency in converting protein, primarily a 'structural' nutrient, to an 'energy' nutrient... you lose about 25% of the caloric value of that protein.

Have been playing devils advocate slightly in my posts above, but in general I feel that it's ok to go moderately high on protein, provided it's varied in sources and balanced with a good intake of other nutrients/macros.

The only diets I really don't like are long term plans highly reliant on one macro and highly restrictive of another - would rather eat a more balanced diet high in junk.

Fibre is ok in theory but it tends to come attached to higher amounts of carbs so for me it's protein and fillers like veggies and salads.
