Damn fine Straps.

Just thought it was worth making a note about the straps im currently using.

Ive used several makes in the past, some of which have been ok, (the first set i ever had where some York ones that i think i got from John Lewis, lasted me ages, but i didnt lift heavy back then), others have been downright shocking (my last set was from a company better known for their protein than lifting gear to be fair to them, but they were awful, weak, badly designed and cut into the wrists).

I recently got a set of APT straps from extreme supplements and they are the daddy. The thickness is perfect, one wrap of the bar and its stuck like glue, ive done shrugs at 200kg with a thumbless grip with them and they didnt budge an inch. Comfortable as well, not cutting into the wrist at all, even when sweaty.

Anyone thats used straps in the past and dismissed them as waste of time, its worth giving these a go as they are awesome... i didnt even get the more expensive ones with the rubber grips on them, these are the cheapy ones :)

The strap conundrum,

I had some measly straps doin' shrugs with em' and the plates just dropped to the floor with my strap attached

Then I decided to go big, i Mean really big. and got some from Brent Mikesell's irongladiators, those are some bad wamma jammas.

I think these are it, still goin' strong:

Its these ones

http://extremesupplements.co.uk/shop/ar ... id%3D47%26

They look pretty similar, im really starting to like APT gear, i use an APT belt now and my backup knee wraps that i keep at the gym are APT.. annoys me that i paid to buy stuff from Inzer in the states before as it costs as much to ship stuff from there as the gear itself.

Yeh there awesome prob the best Ive used...good thing about them is that you dont faff around typing the strap etc...and the underside and overside grips to metal bars etc so it tightens as you get ready for the set....really good
