Cutting - Cals

Why do people seem to cut on too low cals and then wonder why they dont lose fat?

My cutting cals are arond 2800cals and I can pretty much lose a good 2/3 a week using cardio as the catalyst but ive seen people at the 200lb start cutting on like 2000cals and wonder why there bodies go into shut down?

wierd.

Well, if you think logically, it would make sense:

Cutting more cals = more weight loss

People tend to go with all or nothing with these type of things, you can get away with a masive deficit for a short while (say sub two weeks) but any longer than that and you'll sacrifice both too much muscle and squew your hormone in the wrong direction.
